Hello All!
After processing of any .ECO files an archive is made with the date and time as
part of the archive name i.e., elist-files-2020051301300100.zip
At the start of a new month a script runs that create a temporary directory then un archimes all file from the previous month over writing any older .ECO files. This way the content of the temporary directory has the latest version.
Then the lot are archived into a new archive named elist-files-yyyymm.zip
where yyyy is the current year (or if JAnuary the previous one) and mm is the previous month. In a final step the previous months individual archives are deleted.
This way for previous months an archive is kept of the letest of all .ECO files
processed for each echo.
Cuts down on the number of archives held not that the system is short of space but good house keeping as the entire system is backed up on a regular basis with any deleted files removed monthly.
Just though you might like to know :)
Vincent
