Very likely the case. I know that here, at least, the Yardwork Season
is upon us. There goes a good chunk of Saturdays. :(

Colorado is approaching second Winter.
Colorado is approaching second Winter.
Yet another reason not to live in a winter-ish place. I grew up in a
very wintery place, and don't miss it a bit, although I did enjoy it as
a kid.
We had 5 seasons: Summer, Fall, Winter, Mud, Spring.

I don't think I'd like a winterish place. I live in the southern part of Australia, and while it can get cold, winter here is just cold and grey, no snow and it doesn't get below zero at any time.
Spring and Summer is more my thing, the ability to enjoy being outside.

The best thing is to live in a not wintery place that is right
next to a wintery place which happens to be your water source.
See, a bit up norht here it gets snowy as heck. Then in Spring
the snow turns into water and the water irrigates the grass, so
grass grows tall and strong. The horses love it.
You end up having the benefit of a hard winter without the issues
of a hard winter :-)

Same here, although as a kid I enjoyed outside activities all year
'round. I think there's an inverse relation between enjoyment of
winter, and.... age. :-)
... A day without sunshine is like night.Haven't hit the age where the cold becomes a real problem. I don't like it as much as I did before, but its not because of

Southwest Michigan. The jetstream flows over both of our states. Lake Michigan depending on season acts as an enhancer or suppressor of the weather coming through.

I made the mistake to go out there one summer and touch metal in the car. I walked to the hotel, discovered how much I hate scorpions. Arizona, it just sucks.

LOL... When it's over 115F, it doesn't really matter at that
point, it's fucking hot. On the plus side, it's really nice
about 5 months out of the year, another 4 aren't so bad... June,
July and August just plain suck.
Remote start on your car is a really nice thing to have, assuming
your significant other doesn't habitually take your car off of
"auto" for the AC setting when riding with you.
Seems to have picked up some. I have nobody in my Twitlist as I usually take the good with the bad and reading some of the messages are entertaining. :)

Understood and agreed. I live in a pretty hot, but VERY humid area (panhandle of Florida), so "dry heat" seems nice to me. Here it's
about the same months that are difficult, possibly with September
included. November, December, January, February are pretty decent.
Apparently, my dad likes the house a little cooler now that my mom
passed away. He likes 72 as the "common" temperature in the house. I
still have no idea why they'd ever consider moving to Arizona.
Insanity.

I lived in Jacksonville for a couple months... when the grass
bloomed in early December, omg worst allergy response I've ever

We are planning to leave Los Angeles by end of this year to
Florida. Anyone have tips on what city in Florida has the best
weather (i.e., least humidity) ? Right now thinking central
Florida, possibly Orlando. Or, on the Gulf side, in Tampa, seems
nice... will be going back to Florida in May to search for a
place to buy (or, possibly rent for a few months?)
The weather in LA can't be beat, but hopefully some areas of
Florida are not too humid?
Would love to hear your thoughts, or anyone who has lived in
Florida?

It changes 2 or 3 times a day here in TX/AR.
