    It's still there now!


    And now it's gone.
    Apparently it's now carrying the feed for Freeview PSB2 on the relay transmitters that used to relay the Bilsdale transmitter that burnt down.

    I can receive the individual program channels but only audio, the video
    is encrypted.

    Weird. I've sometimes seen different sites/receivers differ by +/-1, but
    11611 is different by 4 (or 3 from the 11608 that https://www.lyngsat.com/Astra-2E-2F-2G.html quotes).

    Any idea why ITV (Belmont) has moved from 11307H to 11608H?

    11608H (or 11607 or 11611) seems to be a transponder just for the
    Freeview Bilsdale relays feed. It has encrypted video. The old location
    for it was not using the whole bandwidth of the transponder and it was
    not encrypted. Maybe this gives them more flexibility about where to
    uplink from and potentially reduces cost.

    Each has 4 different audio channels plus some extra bandwidth being
    used, I presume for video, either encrypted or in an unusual format my
    receiver doesn't understand.

    Nice high bitrate video (>15Mb/s) but seemingly only 192kb/s MPEG audio
    though my receiver seemed to be indicating there was something else
    present that was BISS encoded which it couldn't decode.

    I hadn't realised just how cruel and inhumane traditional bullfighting is.

    I went to a bullfight in Seville a few years ago.

    What was most surprising about it was not what the matador, picadors and banderillos - or even the bulls - did.

    It was the reaction of the crowd. They are absolutely dedicated to the spectacle, even to the extent of paying 175 Euros for a ticket on the
    shady side of the arena (it's cheaper on the sunny side).

    PS: One of the bulls managed to survive.
