• Splash screens (Yellow button to remove)

    Recently getting screen splash messages that are a PITA, any tricks to
    stopping them?
    They include retune messages (even tho already done) and messages about

    No way to stop them as they are inserted at the transmitter site by
    Arqiva by remote control from Emley Moor.

    Ergo they are part of the TV signal.

    I know, I installed several of the units during the run up to the
    2011/12 800MHz clearance.

    Thanks Woody, I can understand that for the service announcements but
    not for the TVPanel things that are a snoopers charter it seems! Those
    warnings and opt-out with yellow button should not be forced down your
    throat every time you use some channels :( C+

    I've noticed on some series and shows, I'll get a prompt saying press your insert colour here, button for more information on this content or issues raised by it.
    It of course dutifully says this in the menu voice I use, completely obliterating the audio describer trying to tell you what is going on at the start of said programme.
