    Sub titles have been back for some time. Its only in the last few days that
    AD has reappeared and incidentally I've not heard an announcement anywhere public about it. Perhaps they are keeping their fingers crossed before they
    get the trumpets out. grin.

    Certainly Star Trek film last night had it.

    I wasn't aware 5hat it had gone.One of te frustrating things was being able to see the EPG, but the programmes having no subtitles when the EPG said that they had.

    Same here with my 32" Sony bought in 2012. Only obviously old programmes
    look fuzzy in SD. (Actually the PVRs also do upscaling so I don't know
    which does it better.)

    Also the tiny disclaimer text along the bottom of the screen on some
    adverts will be even more dificult to read.
