What happens if I don't retune? Will I lose BBC1 HD? Is this anything to
do with the problems I've been having with missing EPG entries and
recording failures? (I get the same message with on the TV and both PVRs.)

You now have the new local version but it won't be shown as such on the

You probably have to retune, what happens when you select Ch 101, do you
get a local version of BBC 1 HD ?

I've retuned all my Freeview TVs and I've got:

BBC ONE WMidHD (from Sutton Coldfield)
BBC ONE EastHD (From Sandy Heath)
BBC ONE Sth HD (From Oxford)
    BBC ONE EMidHD (From Waltham)

I have all BBC 1 HD regions on the freesat too.

I wish the ITV HDs would also label their regions too....

when I retune, The TVs ask me which region I wish to have, This then put
that region's BBC1 HD on 101. SO it is BBC ONE EMidHD

    the other 3 are on:

    819 BBC ONE WMidHD
    820 BBC ONE EastHD
    821 ITV1 HD
    822 BBC ONE Sth HD

I also have CCTV modulators in house and despite settign a preferred
LCN, it does not appear at that specific LCN and it appears on
different LCNs across my various TV brands which is *rather* annoying.

Yes, many modulators claim you can set the LCN and indeed provide a
setting but they don't work. The one exception are the Antiference
modulators that work flawlessly in that regard.

In response to the message, I retuned our Humax DVR, but now when selecting a programme to record on say BBC1 or BBC2 it no longer asks me whether I want the SD or HD version. The box is receiving both stations on both SD and HD, so it's not obvious why
it's doing that. Not a major problem, just annoying.

I hardly ever go to hd, for obvious reasons, its pointless, so one assumes
the sd is still local to the region as it always seemed to be before on freeview, and this retune is merely because they never did it on hd in the first place.

Different transmitters use different frequencies for BBC1 HD. It's just
