• BBC1 Freeview EPG

Has anyone else noticed problems with the BBC1 Freeview EPG?

I find it has large blank patches in the evenings. And, even if it is
complete, programmes are often not recorded. I've seen this on my Humax
Fox and Panasonic HDD/DVD recorder. Only BBC1.

London (Crystal Palace) and HD only it would appear (LCN 101).

I am having issues with all epgs. They seem very very sluggish to update
things and as you say, no infoavailable is something we used not to see at
    all.
I can sit on a channel and I used to be able to go along till the end of
the day, now only one prog ahead quite often and you have to keep it in
vision for it to struggle and put a few more up. It all reminds me of the
old Ceefax where you could watch the rotating page numbers but the sub page
for the one you were on only came around about every third time.

I have had programmes not be recorded even when set up correctly,
usually I see a message saying something like "could not track
broadcast" or similar. Sometimes there is nothing at all, just no
recording. And certainly not only on BBC, it's happened on ITV, Drama, Yesterday etc.
I blame it on the rockets we keep sending into space, perforating the atmospheric layers. (g)

The Freeview 'guide' on our TV only now shows a 'now and next' whereas IIRC
in the ast it would show later items as well. Also sluggish to show.

Can be irritating when you look at, say, Ch5's listing as they tend to stik
a fake 'new' partway though films. Means you can't check when they
*actually* end until that 'news' comes on.

RT also sometimes has errors. So I've taken to using the guide at
