Well I’m assuming Mark Carver has had a word in the right ear, as BBC1 has returned to 101 on the Sky Go guide…

Oh no!! I’ve just realised it is the national SD channel with no regional news. Perhaps a holding operation until they get their act together.

Some preliminary advice was, at the top of the Sky Go TV Guide page are
    two tabs

Watch on Phone (the default) and Record to Sky Box.

The BBC do not allow live viewing via anything other than iplayer, so
that's why you'll see no BBC channels listed on that tab (although I'm
    sure I have)

However, select the 'Record to Sky Box' tab, and they all appear, except
the HD channels are at 8XX. In my case 801 is BBC 1 HD South (954 to 967
are the other BBC 1 HD regions)

Should not all the channels get their heads together and decide on a
standard plan. Stopping people watching stuff in various ways is only going
to confuse the public who really don't care how they get it All of that
should be happening in the background.

Thing is, Sky have historically been very good at doing everything in the background. There’s no messing about with retunes or anything else. This shambles is quite unlike them.

I try not to use the Sky Go ap, because it's got that 'not really sure
the box is really going to record that prog feeling about it'

I agree, when it comes to the actual boxes they are excellent.

I’ve never had a problem using the app to set recordings, and I find it easier on my iPad than using the tv display. I can even set recordings when I’m away from home using the app. Have you had any luck with your industry contacts?

Nothing yet, though I think the only thing to clear up now is why the HD channels are at 8xx and not 1xx ?

Yes. I wouldn’t really mind them being there, but it’s an awful lot of scrolling and the app doesn’t allow favourites to be set.
