    "Women dominate at Gender-Neutral Theatre".

Ho-hum. It sounds like one of those late-night documentaries on Ch. 4
    or 5.

Same on R4 this morning, only spoken instead of written. It gives a clue to
    the BBC’s agenda here.

One suspects that “men dominate at gender-neutral theatre” would be a concatenation of words that would never be spoken (or written) on the Beeb.

Is it woke to describe what actually happened? In my morning Telegraph -
hardly the wokist of publications - the headline above an article on
page 3 about the BAFTA awards is " Gender-neutral theatre awards are a
clean sweep for actresses". It's noteworthy because it's the first time
that there have not been separate "best actor" and "best actress"
categories. (There's also a large photo on the front page of Jodie
Comer, who won the main award.)

I'm not sure about that. It probably depends on the perceived audience, who
no doubt they hope their new online future will teach them about, not!

Its no wonder so many BBC folk have jumped ship over the past few years and gone freelance or whatever. I think the BBC are frightened of their own
shadows after all the scandals and are bending over backwards to be
inclusive. Thinking about it, maybe bending over backwards is the wrong
    thing to say!

Jodie Comer played the main character, Villanelle, in the TV series

Yes sorry I missed that one.
Do you think it was done deliberately as a joke?
There was one on W channel Stacey Dooley, stays over. I thought it was
handled very well and many of those sniggering behind their hands should
watch it and see the truth not some stupid caricature.
So what was the actual show about?
I'm assuming it was yet more boring awards for people who nobody has heard
of or could care less about?

Wasn't it suggested that many are not happy about having their salaries published? So have left for commercial radio / TV where they can be paid
much more but without anyone knowing how much.

I normally go to the red button content stream on the TV and as usual its rubbish, so never bother to read the text when you press red.
Assuming of course that Samsung can read the text in the first place.

How can anything be neutral if either faction dominates?

Either the headline was intended cynically, or whoever wrote it was so
wrapped up in this silly ideology that they failed to notice the
irony. It's hard to be sure these days.

Quite. The headline itself is a wonderful non-sequitur. Apart from
    being a masochist's dream title.

Either the headline was intended cynically, or whoever wrote it was so wrapped up in this silly ideology that they failed to notice the

The latter, surely? I doubt that any of these woke folk would appreciate
    irony in any form.

Speaking of which, Red button on Freesat went HD overnight.

I count 47 HD channels on Freesat, with more to come.

    Probably less than 10 regularly.

This afternoon it will be BBC Two Wales HD for the Welsh open snooker,
which is curtailed at 8 PM for some vitally important celebrity cooking
crap, but I can then continue watching the snooker on Red Button which
is why I was pleased to see it appear this morning

Snooker was the poster boy for colour telly and is very effective at
    showing the benefits of HD.

The only SD channel I regularly watch is TalkingPics TV.

I think "gender neutral" just means without separate categories for men
and women. In sport that would result in men dominating in most cases.
