I've just watched (BBC4, March 26) the prog. about the attempt to beat
the high-dive record - basically jumping from space, many miles up.

For once, it was well made - no fake re-dramatisations, no leaping
around all over the place. I would have really enjoyed it, but for ...

... the music. They say if you are _aware_ of music, it's wrong - well,
I definitely was, from fairly near the start. Especially long strings
notes.

I'm sure it's difficult - once someone like me is sensitised to it, I
hear it, however subtle it is. But it definitely spoiled it for me.

[Now the following prog. - taking a picture of a black hole - again, I'm
aware of almost-constant (and thus irritating) music.]
