• Why do some messages appear in something like Digest format?

From MB@21:1/5 to All on Sun Aug 27 11:55:17 2023
For some time, in some newsgroups, some posts appear in something like
    Digest format?

They just have the "Archive" and "Delete" tabs at the top.

I have not found how it was turned on so how it can be turned off.

Done a search of the Thunderbird help files but can't find anything.

How can I turn it off?

There is no effective way to delete a usenet message. Not all servers
respect the request, and it comes back to life everywhere at the next
    system sync.
