Lizzie just now was wearing a garment with a zip at the front, and that definitely didn't look vertical

Maybe she's got one leg shorter than the other?

(Lizzie is always very smart and trim.) I have noticed the effect when
other forecasters are giving the forecast.

A. Top-posters.
Q. What's the most irritating thing on Usenet?
I have the feeling that the weather forecasters for my local area (south
east - I think the same studio covers London sometimes) appear to be
leaning slightly - upper part of them (their head) nearer left edge of >picture than lower part.
It occurred to me that it might not be that noticeable in general, since
the weather maps, viewer pictures, etc. are inserted electronically (is it still called green screen?), so will be correctly aligned with the video frame anyway - it's only the presenter that isn't. I presume if the camera/mount/whatever is significantly askew (has been knocked or
something), someone would notice, but if the sensor inside the camera is rotated slightly, it might not be noticed for some time.
I've had this feeling for some weeks, but it's hard to tell. Lizzie just
now was wearing a garment with a zip at the front, and that definitely
didn't look vertical, but of course that could be how she wears it. The effect - if I'm right - is only a few degrees out.

a joke doesn't become a dad joke until it's full groan
Have you tried to actually contact the company?

Maybe the studio is on a boat with a list?

We were all waiting for him to fall in. (Including the programme
creators, who allegedly had a diver on standby in the water nearby.)

Not over this, no. In general, contacting the BBC about anything
technical (actually, about anything, but definitely technical) isn't
easy (probably applies to other broadcasters too).

Sadly, Engineering Information Department was closed. "people should ask >their dealers".

I have an old chum who worked on that show for years (in Liverpool and Londonistan) - they didn't.
A 10 minute phone call to parts foreign, confirms that the notorious kiddy fiddler went in once, and that was when he was ankle grabbed by an Royal
Navy diver. It cost the tax-payer a new radio mic kit and a Wood and
Douglas TB receiver.

Therefore Lizzie's leaningness can be explained by the camera
position. Wide angle lenses make the effect more noticeable than
more standard lenses.
