Don't they use a form of Stenotype for live subtitling?
At some events they have the script and can just call that but that is
not possible with a live commentary like today.
I think the deaf accept it and are just glad to have subtitling.
The newspapers that often pick up minor mistakes, often have far more mistakes themselves even though they have plenty of time to edit things.
