Following the attack on the TV tower, I was wondering what the situation
is regarding terrestrial TV and radio transmissions in Ukraine.

I wonder how many people are still at home watching television?

They were talking to freelance journalist  John Sweeny on LBC this
morning. He had visited the site this morning. He said TV was off the
air in the city. He didn't mention any other services.

In other news, Russia Today has now been removed from Sky, and Freesat
EPGs, I think the transponder streams are dead, so not even an FTA
receiver will work, and on DTT both their streams are now dead

AIUI it's gone because the EU stopped its uplink from Brussels. Ofcom
were investigating it. But HMG weren't keen to deploy the Ministry of
    Truth:

"The reality is that if we ban RT in the United Kingdom, that is likely
to lead to channels like the BBC being banned in Russia. What we want is
the Russian population to hear the truth about what Vladimir Putin is
doing, so there’s a very careful judgment to be made."

The RT website is still available, but the live video stream is hosted by youtube and says "unavailable in your country"

Ah, they have an alternate stream labelled "RT player" and that's still running

Yes. I'm sure Ofcom were dragging their feet deliberately, waiting for
this to happen, so it's completely let them off the hook.

They're an utterly useless and spineless regulator
