According to R4 news this morning, private sales of EVs fell 25% in
January, as consumers shun the high costs, inconveniences, and poor infrastructure involved with EVs.
Company sales account for most of the EVs on the road.
Holland, that healthy cycling Utopia where deaths from the major diseases
are at the same rate as the UK, has 1.5 million charging points despite a population ‘four times smaller’ than the UK, with its vastly inadequate total of 53677 chargers (Jan 2024).
The government is going to have to throw a lot of taxpayer money at taxpayers in order to incentivise private sales.
