BRAVE women have been hailed heroes for stopping traffic after a cyclist was left injured on a busy road following a hit and run.

Five ladies discovered the man lying on the A556 Chester Road Northwich to Knutsford bypass at round 11am yesterday, Wednesday.

The victim had been hit by a motorcyclist who failed to stop.

The collision happened between Plumley and Lostock Gralam, opposite Linnards Lane in Wincham.

One woman, who also stopped to help with her husband, said: “These five ladies risked their own lives to stop the fast traffic and save the floored cyclist lying in the middle of the road.

“Their sheer bravery, selflessness and quick thinking was astounding.

“Thank goodness, the cyclist’s bike was a write-off and not him.

“A millisecond of time difference and it could’ve been disastrous.

“One lady lent her warm coat and took his bike home for him and the other ladies called the ambulance and police.

“My husband checked him over for injuries and I tried to help and support whilst he was in shock.

“These ladies need a medal for their utter bravery and quick thinking.”

    Police are appealing for information.

A police spokesman said: “Officers attended and found that the motorcyclist had failed to stop at the scene.

“The cyclist sustained minor injuries as a result of the incident and was treated by paramedics.

“Enquiries in relation to the collision are ongoing.”

Anyone with information should call Cheshire Police on 101 or visit cheshire.police.uk/tell-us, quoting IML 1654741.

    That's odd.

You reported an identical traffic accident in the same location a few
    weeks ago.

Is it on a ley line or something?

How much did your long sojourn in hospital cost after you jumped off a
bridge? A million? And you claim it healed for free? What planet do you
    live on?

I had to pay for my Fentanyl though - I was not old enough at that time.

Other people paid the million (or whatever; it was a lot).

And the Oxycontin that was like sweets - even though it was more powerful than Heroin.
