I still look into these newsgroups from time to time (but far less
frequently than I used to). Over in uk.d-i-y I came across what I thought
was an interesting post. It contained this image link:

    https://wiki.diyfaq.org.uk/index.php/File:IMG_20230909_083405.jpg

A subscriber to the diy newsgroup chanced upon David Lang's old work van
while holidaying in Filey (more proof it's a small world, I suppose). It is exactly two years to the day that TMH died.

He was no fan of cyclists nor cycling but his posts to this newsgroup often raised a smile and some were worth a good laugh (at least, that's how I remember them). What a boring old world it would be if we were all in total agreement with each other.

He used to boast that he went to the BP AGM in order to dob me in for posting in work's time - he tried to get me sacked.
    Good riddance.

He was JOKING! He was winding you up - quite successfully (because of
    your guilty conscience).

Trust me on that - I had an email from Judith confirming it the same
day. The wind-up was entirely Judith's idea and it was a great one.

You crapped yourself, didn't you? :-)

    Good riddance.

Charming, but typical of the chav-cyclist and unskilled ex-worker that
you are - no empathy or thought for anyone but yourself (as is the case
    with most chavs on bikes).

As an aside, I well remember sympathising with Doug Bollen when he was indisposed and unwell. And why should I not have done so? I hope he is
still with us, wherever he is.

He also used to arrange for a fight with a member of this group at a set location in Kent and then never turn up.
    Cowardly bottler.

You can also get a similar effect by leaving the van out in the weather
for... . And then removing your vinyl signage, usually just before
    selling the van on.
