    And that's where they gather...

They express "outrage" about the use of the roadway by vehicles but are perfectly happy with the use of the footway by chavs-on-bikes. After
all, it's only pedestrians at risk there, and they all - especially May
Sun, the Chied Chav - have the utmost disdain for the rights of other
road users, especially those of pedestrians.

Wow - is there someone new in charge at WM police?
This is more like proper law enforcement in action!

They certainly don't mean it when it comes to protecting vulnerable
pedestrians from chavs like you on bikes.

"could have" = opinion. And the opinion of a bigoted chav-cyclist at that.

    IOW, worthless.

    The question is "did it?".

And it didn't. Which carries its own truths embedded within it. And
which rather reveals the bigotry of chav-cycling enthusiasts as being
aimed at something other than safety, particularly that of other road-users.

After all, if they were interested in safety, they wouldn't ride their chav-bikes on FOOTways. But they DO.

And they would not ignore red traffic lights, one-way working or
    pedestrian zones. But they DO.

The footage of a motorist driving in his blue Ford Puma illegally on Binley Road went viral last weekend, and sparked online outrage amongst cyclists and other active travel bigots.
The police force, known for pioneering 'close pass' policing, confirmed that the driver has now been spoken to by officers from the West Midlands Police Road Harm Reduction Team and reported for driving without due care and attention.

That does not follow and it shows that no offence was committed (or at
least, none that the police can identify, other then outraging bigoted chav-cyclists and other assorted bigots committed to preventing normal
people from leading their lives as they choose.

"Road safety is a key issue for WMP; we know that by working together with local communities and partners we can make significant progress in creating safer roads," said West Midlands Police.

Well, they could certainly help make the FOOTways safer if they enforced
the law on chav-cyclists illegally using them on their chav-bikes.

It added: "We are actively patrolling key areas to enforce speed limits and protect our communities from the dangers of excessive speed and other road harm issues."

There is no "speed limit" issue involved in the instant case. Otherwise,
the report would have been for exceeding the speed limit. But it isn't.

Adam Tranter, West Midlands' first Bigot-Cycling and Walking Commissioner, thanked the police for its swift action. He said: "This driver’s behaviour could have quite easily had catastrophic consequences.

    However, it DIDN'T. Did it?

"In the West Midlands we are very clear that we will not tolerate behaviour that endangers vulnerable road users such as pedestrians and chav-cyclists. This shocking footage has rightly sparked outrage online among chav-cycling bigotsand I'm grateful
to the police for swiftly taking action."
People were left bewildered under the Twitter post shared by Tranter, who has spent the recent months campaigning for road safety and calling out dangerous driving.
"Oh thank goodness they're being dealt with, that's awful," commented one person, while another chav-cyclist wrote: "At last, some feedback! First time I've seen WMP engage with us."

Chav-cyclists of Britain: be careful of what you wish for. The police
SHOULD be "engaging" with you for your reckless and totally selfish endangerment of pedestrians and other road users.

The West Midlands Police had come under fire in April when an FOI request revealed that of the 286 reports of careless, inconsiderate, or dangerous driving around cyclists considered by West Midlands Police in 2022, only one resulted in a prosecution.

So the chav-cyclists and other assorted bigots "think" that prosecutions
should be instigated even where no offence has been identified?

They can't ALL "work" for the Post Office, can they?

    Perhaps they do.

Further, 213 of the alleged close passes submitted last year resulted in no further action being taken, and 69 drivers captured on video committing close passes were offered a National Driver Offender Retraining Scheme (NDORS) course as an alternative
    to prosecution.

There is no law specifying "close passing".

    No offence = no prosecution.

The opinions of bigoted chavs on chav-bikes count for nowt.

Despite the police's swift action this time, people raised concerns that despite how bizarre it sounds, these sort of occurrences are quite common.

Lawful behaviour IS quite common. Unfortunately, not among chav-cyclists.

"What do they mean when they say this? I’ve seen cars driving up the A38 blue route several times and (presumably) there is no consequence. Why make it sound like they won’t tolerate something they implicitly do? Are they doing something practical
to stop it?" wrote a chav-cyclist from Bourneville, Birmingham.

Another person said: "Unfortunately that is not exceptional - using pavements, central reservations and wrong lanes to dodge queues is normal West Midlands driving for many."

    What is a "wrong lane"?

And is there some societal or personal benefit to be gained from
    insisting that road-users are delayed?

Are these chavs on their chav-bikes mas as well as bad?

Unfortunately that is not exceptional - using pavements, central reservations and wrong lanes to dodge queues is normal West Midlands driving for many.

Meanwhile, another Twitter account called "LetMeCycle" said: "Traffic on the road, just use a segregated chav-cycle lane, made to protect "vulnerable" chavs from drivers. And this dangerous impatient driver thinks that's ok."

    What are FOOTways made for?

    Can any chav-cyclist answer that?
