A video appears to show a man nearly being thrown off the back of a truck while seemingly trying to retrieve a quad bike in Glasgow.

In the clip, shared on both Twitter and Reddit this week, a person can be seen revving the engine of the quad fixed on the back of a 911 Recovery vehicle.

The incident happened on Garscube Road in Maryhill but the exact date is not known.

As the man seemingly attempts to remove the quad from the truck, the driver appears to swerve onto a cycle lane on the left side of the road, going over a kerb to do so.

As the man seemingly attempts to remove the quad from the truck, the driver appears to swerve onto a cycle lane on the left side of the road, going over a kerb to do so.

After that, two cycle-lane users, one on a motocross-style bike and one on a bicycle, are seen just behind the truck travelling behind.

The man in the video manages to push the quad bike off the back of the truck, causing it to flip and crash onto the pavement, before jumping off the vehicle himself.

The truck can then be seen driving up the street before turning left onto Possil Road and out of view.

The man then walks towards the quad bike, before righting it, mounting it and driving away.

911 Recovery is a vehicle recovery company which collects broken down vehicles and also works under contract for Police Scotland.

STV News contacted 911 Recovery which confirmed the truck was owned by them but did not provide any further comment.
