    Had to be asked didn't it;!

    If this fuel supply crises and panicked buying gets much worse could you
    sort of pad out what's in your diesel car tank with some cooking oil
    this is the unused stuff, not thats ex the chip shoppe!

    Anyone done it?..

    I know what you mean (I think) but in reality don't all diesels have
    to have 'mechanical' injection? Otherwise no fuel would get into the cyclinders. Electronic injection just means mechanical gubbins of
    *some* sort controlled by electronics.
