    My general experience has been that if you can't get something on
    eBay or
    Amazon, then you can't get it.

    OTOH, if it is important that it actually works it may be better to get
    it from a reputable seller like RS, Farnell, possibly Cricklewood,
    though fifty years ago they did seem to use cheap sources, or one of the
    American firms like Digikey or Mouser.

    There are reputable sellers on E-Bay. For small amateur radio components
    I find that Jab Dog via E-Bay is good...
