• Amateur radio equipment wanted posts

From mm0fmf@21:1/5 to All on Sun Nov 22 16:43:01 2020
I had a quick look through the moderation policy for here and it says

"Advertising specific items and/or services for sale that are not
directly related to amateur radio" are not allowed. It says nothing
about wanted requests especially for amateur radio items such as
    transceivers.

I've not seen any wanted posts in here so thought I'd ask up front if
they are acceptable in principle before posting one?

I suggest we use the same restriction for wanted requests as for advertising for sale: if it's directly related to amateur radio then yes but if you're after anything unrelated then please not here.

If you look further down, the policy says "Occasional announcements of
casual sales of amateur radio equipment that is owned for personal use
will be permitted, provided that the subject lines are prefixed
appropriately, e.g. [FS], [WTB], and [FA] for for-sale, want to buy, for auction, respectively"

    "Want to buy" is permitted.

    Regards.

Despite this apparent omission, I can't say I've been aware of a flood
of non-amateur-related 'wanted' adverts - nor, for that matter, of 'for
    sale' adverts!
