Hmm... A G5** might be nice; Burt's always seemed to hold them in high regard, anyway.

They're just placeholders, Jim. The things that they point to change
    over time.

I'm not sure what the rules are these days; could I keep my old call and
just use the G5 when I think there's a good chance of boiling a crusty
old cunt's piss? That'd be worth 20 quid.

Ofcom release Amateur Radio callsign database

    Posted:

In response to a Freedom of Information (FoI) request Ofcom have
released  the database of 150,181 Amateur Radio callsigns for the
UK and Crown  Dependencies as at March 10, 2022

    ///////////////////////////////////////////

The link to the database didn't seem to last long. It's now hidden
behind a 'SquizMatrix' login, saying "You do not have permission to
    access the asset".

Before it went, I did download the information. My callsign does
not appear in the main list, and neither do many other active
amateurs. It IS in the 'Sheet 1' list - but so are many others who
I know have been SK for many years. What's going on? Should I be
    worried?
who cares just make up another one...that is what they do these days

Have you tried watching The Business News, Jim? I understand that
it's a lot more positive than other news - might cheer you up a bit.

    It's done wonders for Burt.
