    Hello all of you,

Ik bought many years ago a WATSON W-5A power supply and after a short circuit it seems it is not regulating well anymore. I see that the circuit board has the text DAIWAN 8270 (and CHING SHENG CS-02V0) on it and I was wondering if one of you has a
    schematic overview of this board?

I hope you can help me. THANKS in advance. All the best,

    Victor

Not worth the price of a 3055, or whatever, then, Jimothy?

I’ve never seen a 5A version of the Watson but I believe the others in the range are versions of the same design, obviously with more pass transistors
    and changes to accommodate them.

I’ve repaired the 25/30A one and the smaller. 10 or perhaps 15 A one and,
as I recall, they were similar. Certainly the faults were, bad solder
    joints.

There are links to the circuit of the 30A one here:

    https://www.transmission1.net/viewtopic.php?t=39004

You may find them useful as a starting point, if nothing else.
