I had to email this to myself to post from my phone, as I'd already done the preparation.

This one is mainly notable for featuring all four Beatles separately, but will also appeal to fans of multiple versions of the same song charting simultaneously.

Playlists here. I promise the Deep Purple video does start eventually.

    Chart date: 17th April 1971

I vaguely remember a few of these from the time. I was too young to really have much of an interest in music myself, so the ones I do remember were those which got played on the radio when my parents were listening. There
    is one exception.

Despite the age of the chart, I have seen one act in here play live.

    1. (1) T.Rex Hot Love

I think I remember this from the time, although it's a famous enough song that I've heard it enough since. It isn't going to win any awards for lyric writing.

    2. (2) Ray Stevens Bridget The Midget (The Queen Of The Blues)

Don't remember this. Don't think I've missed anything.

    I remember this one.
This was the hit in The Netherlands:

It was not my favorite record ....

Finally got to hear that East Of Eden track on a prog compilation. It
wasn't quite what I expected but I quite liked it.
And the next track was the satisfyingly odd Golf Girl by Caravan, so
it's nice to be reminded of that. https://youtu.be/lSAFNvI4Ymc

It seems that TV channels in some other European countries were better
at keeping hold of music performances than the British ones.

No, the original album had only five tracks (one of which took up an
entire side). There have been extended reissues since of course.
