the stage, the National Youth Orchestra were very good this year
Saw them a few years ago now performing Oliver Messiaen's Turangalīla >Symphony complete with Cynthia Millar playing the original electric
keyboard and wire instrument the Ondes Martenot.

The Proms has always had awful music in every programme, as a kind of
penance for the audience to go through before listening to something
decent.
Once or twice I noticed a programme when there wasn't any horrible
modern stuff, but the tickets for those evenings were inevitably sold
out months in advance.
Good job your not into Opera, I think the waits sometimes Ten years for tickets at the Wagner Festspielhaus in Germany !..
