I need to connect a 1.5m length of 40mm plastic pipe using a rubber boss connector into the 60mm opening on a 110mm branch, like this one:

All fine, but how do you neatly secure the pipe to the wall? I can't seem to find anything other than standard 40mm clips, and even if I could it'd stand an extra 5cm from the wall. Or maybe just one clip in the middle, and rely on the bendiness of the pipe?

I'd use a couple of 135 elbows to create a neat dogleg to the 40mm pipe
and use standard 40mm wall-mounted pipe-clips.
At least that is what I've done a couple of times.

to the boss at the end of the 40mm pipe run.

Would that be heating/bending the pipe, or using the 135 connectors?

Assuming solvent weld, then 135 connectors would be easier and neater I suspect.
