Placed a pre order for an iPhone 14 Pro Max earlier today, I normally
upgrade every four years. Got my 6 Plus in October 2014 and replaced it
with current XR in January 2019 although it was released in September 2018.
It’s now September 2022 and I’m upgrading upon its release like I did with
6 Plus. Looking to get £175 for my 128GB XR selling privately.
Why do you think that is of interest to anybody?

Why do you feel it's okay to be so sharp to everyone? This is an open
pub conversation. If you're not interested, *you* can skip threads.

You seem to have no idea who "Koopa Troopa" is. He is the Chameleon of
all englishspeaking iPhone and Mac groups aka Burnelli/Ragnussen/Newton.

Oh, you're one of those "follow people around between groups" types.
That explains it. What a dull hobby.

Then put him your kill file so you don't see the posts.

Exactly. Vandenbergh's comment is indeed more than redundant.

Not really. Although kill file is a good idea for certain posters in this thread. I like that.

Why does this information reside in your message 'header'?
User-Agent: Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.15; rv:102.0) Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.2.2
It's EXACTLY the same as in MY headers! Viz:-

Gecko/20100101 Thunderbird/102.2.2
I'm prepared to wager, though, that you are NOT using 10.15!
I'm now using macOS Monterey Version Version 12.6

Are you really sure that you are capable to read and interpret correctly
what you see in a posting-header?

No! Not at all!
ESPECIALLY as I'm well aware that just about anything in a message
header can be forged!
So I try to reply to the message/post - *NOT* to the person posting!
I’m very tempted. I’m wondering how much I might get for my 11 as spending
a four figure sun might not go down that well with my other half!

I’m lucky I don’t have to answer to anyone, check out trade in prices then
add about £50 or so for private sale price…

Thanks. Had an email from Apple this morning inviting me to buy a 14. This “Dynamic Island” features looks interesting.

My local Apple store have some iPhone 14 Pro 1TB Deep Purple in stock and some iPhone 14 128GB in Midnight, Starlight, Red & Blue in stock. Also,
some iPhone 14 256GB Red in stock.
It seems certain iPhone 14 models aren’t selling too well (maybe just in the USA). So there may be scope for some decent discounts and lower used prices?

That sounds a bit odd to me: who buys a new iPhone and then a week later trades it in? Presumably only someone who has had some kind of emergency
and find they need the money more than the phone. In that case supply and hence used prices really depend on the prevalence of emergencies which is a measure of the economy, not the phone. There hasn't really been enough time to establish prices based on sales figures.
Or I suppose people who buy the phone and really hate it - but then I'd have thought they would be able to return it.

Yes I was confused by that but I would probably be after a new phone especially if Apple decide to discount them.
