It has happened to me a couple of times that Bluetooth headphones connected to a MacBook will go into a low quality mode (fairly new and pretty expensive headphones).
Everything sounds muddy and airless, particularly with more complex audio. After restarting the MacBook it comes back to normal.
There's no obvious cause for this behaviour - any ideas?
Is there some way to find out what mode a Bluetooth audio connection is in?
