Does anyone on this NG have any experience in playing a smart T.V. from a USB memory

Do you mean using something like a ROKU or Amazon fire stick or playing a recording held in a suitable format on a USB drive?

If you just want to play content stored on a USB stick then this guide may help.

It’s important that the stick is correctly formatted, e.g. FAT32 et al.
