• Video card for this setup please

From jonboyp1976@googlemail.com@21:1/5 to All on Wed Aug 4 05:50:46 2021
I have purchased the following components already:

    https://uk.pcpartpicker.com/list/Gwyrj2

And require a video card and a pair of monitors. This will be for a teenagers school work desktop machine with some entry-level gaming thrown in. Monitors probably circa 19-20 inches and will be wall-mounted.

    Any suggestions welcomed.

    Thanks
    Jon

Note that your motherboard has two video out and supports dual screens
*if* you pair it with a Ryzen that has integrated graphics. This is
probably cheaper than buying a separate graphics card at all.

If you go separates, any card you can buy will do dual monitors and
schoolwork. "Entry-level gaming" causes some concern though; what
non-gamers think of as 'entry level' may actually be pretty thirsty for graphics. Minecraft, for example. Any idea what they'll be playing?

    Cheers - Jaimie

You've selected some quite decent bits, so why not go the whole hog on
    the graphics card?

The best graphics card is one you can actually buy.

This. And at a price you can afford.
