    The simple answer is that series 7 processors are not compatible.

    There are ways round this, but then you are in unsupported territory.
    Unless there is a helluva good reason you must have W11, I suggest you
    stay with W10. Or, get a new laptop.

    It's partly a special exception for the original Surface Studio, which has a
    5 year old CPU but Microsoft were selling until fairly recently. There
    isn't really a good reason why they couldn't support other similar CPUs if
    they wanted to.
