  • Format a partioned HP laptop drive

    I bought a 1tb sata drive on ebay which came from new hp laptops but the
    drive is split into 4 partitions a main 931gb 2 x recovery and another EFI
    one but I can only delete the main partition.

    Everything is greyed out on the other 3 and all you get is help

    I am using win7 and this is in disk management any idea how to wipe the
    drive clean?

    CMD in ADMIN mode
    DISKPART
    LIST DISKS
    SELECT DISK x (x=DISK YOU WANT TO CLEAN)
    CLEAN ALL

    WAIT 3 HOURS WHERE NOTHING APPEARS TO BE HAPPENING (320GB PER HOUR)
    Disk now clean ready to be set up in DISK MANAGEMENT

    NEW LAPTOP DRIVES 1TB £18 INCL POST AND WHEN I CHECKED SURE ENOUGH ONLY 2
    HRS USE
