That's not super exciting for 'build your own' really.
No extra low power CPU choices, no screen res/hdr options, no fat
battery, no variations on the external ports.
It's no more choice than
you might have with a BTO Lenovo.

I watched the LinusTechTips video a few weeks ago, he was impressed* and there
are swappable ports

Whoops - they do, I missed that part. They have four USBC sockets, each
with a space for builtin custom dongles to adapt those to whatever you
like. As long as that's SSD/microSD slot/HDMI/DP/USBA/USBC.
