It's a long time since I've built a machine so I'm a bit out of touch on component suppliers. I've certainly used Novatech in the past, seeming to remember good things about them and whilst they still sell components they seem to be pushing machine builds for corporates and gamers. I have used
Scan but didn't really like them and avoided ebuyer as I didn't like their dynamic pricing model.
Any suppliers that you would keep going back to?

The machine design and build will be down to a visitor who will be bringing most of the expensive parts with them from the US where things are cheaper. We'll probably be buying just the case, PSU and cheaper or bulkier ancillaries here.
It will likely be a non gaming office drudge comp although it will likely
be pimped a bit as the builder is a gamer and we'd like to future proof it
a bit, we tend to build well and keep for ages.
