• SSD DOA

From Jeff Gaines@21:1/5 to All on Fri May 31 19:03:52 2024
Has a Crucial MX500 2TB delivered earlier. Put it in the PC, partitioned
and formatted it, wrote about 6.5 GB to it then Windows said it didn't
exist. Return agreed with Amazon so it goes back tomorrow. First DOA SSD
    I've had.

How does a gender neutral bog differ from a unisex bog ?
It has a non-binary number on the door.

This is worrying, a branded respectable manufacturer SSD went bad
    after a very short time.
I know that the TBW of their BX series is poor but the MX is far
    higher.

Yes, I searched before buying and deliberately went for the MX.
    Replacement should arrive today.

That is why I always look up a SSD TBW. A bit slower speed is worth
the difference. It is worth looking at eBay, they have industrial
SSD's that have a far greater TBW rating for sale.
