• Changing drive letter

From Mike Halmarack@21:1/5 to All on Fri Dec 2 15:54:53 2022
I have 3 PCs on a Win 10 network. One PC had to be restored from a
    backup.
This meant that the shared drive letters on the restored PC were not
compatible with the other 2 PCs, so I went about changing them in Disk Management.
    There are 3 partitions which were D, E, F, needing to become P, Q, R
P came out OK. Q got stuck in a loop and R came Out OK.
Q eventually got a message saying it would be fixed after restart.
It wasn't though, it showed up with no drive letter in Disk Management
    after restart.
When I tried to change it's drive letter the process for changing it
wouldn't respond. Also, that particular partition that was now neither
E or Q no longer showed up in the drive list in Windows.
    Any advice on this?

I would be inclined to download Mini Tool Partition Wizard:

    https://www.partitionwizard.com/free-partition-manager.html

It's free and gives a more friendly graphical representation of what is
going on which may help diagnosis. It also allows changing of drive letters.

Thanks, I'll give it a go.

Worked a treat. Now all I need to do is make my data archives as
    minimalist as my physical environs.
Then, sell a bunch of external drives on eBay. It may take some time
    to empty them though.
