• Laptop Suggestion Please

From Jeff Gaines@21:1/5 to All on Wed Oct 12 09:07:01 2022
I need a laptop with a bigger screen and want to move from 14" to 15.6"
(seems to be a standard size). BUT I don't want a separate numeric keypad
as this makes the keys smaller so I struggle to see them and puts them in
odd places so I can't find them.

It's used to run RDP to my main machine so is really just a remote control
but I have got to the stage where I need a bigger screen and keyboard :-(

Any suggestions much appreciated, happy with used/refurbished.

Here we go it's getting close, now it's just who wants it most.

I have a toshiba Satellite L500 19x for sale, any interest?

Its a T4300 processor, 4GB ram, originally came with a 5500 GB HDD which
has since been replaced with a 120GB SSD.. It has a 15.6 inch HBT screen

Had windows 7 on it, but could easily be swapped for linux.

It does have a numeric keypad on it though, but this is a fairly big
laptop so the numeric keypad may not be such an issue?

You dont need a numeric keypad to make the keys smaller.

I recently parted company with a HP laptop which had a 17 inch screen,
and keys which were too small - theres just acres of blank space, some
of which is filled with the stupid mouse pad thingy :-\

Many thanks for the replies :-)

I have gone for a used Dell M6800 (from Morgan Computers) as the extra
size gives me a keyboard of the size I am used to ignoring the number pad.

As a bonus it will keep my trousers pressed and both my knees and
    testicles warm!

    Thanks again.
