    Since the solstice is at 6:32 a.m. NST (2:02 a.m. PST) Dec. 21,
    tonight (Sunday night) is the longest night, at least in North
    America.

    Blessed Yule! I lit all my special candles, including a big red one
    that I made in a Black Velvet whiskey tube and have had since
    probably 1987 and a "Ship of Fools" one I made and have had
    since April 1995 (with regular mast replacements), earlier tonight.

    But it was cloudy here on the Avalon this evening so I didn’t see
    the closest conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn.
