What are the metaphysics that explain suffering and an ending of
    suffering.

Here is one that makes some sense to me ...

“You are not IN the universe, you ARE the universe, an intrinsic part
of it. Ultimately you are not a person, but a focal point where the universe is becoming conscious of itself. What an amazing miracle.”

    Eckhart Tolle, A New Earth

I think saying that “I am one with the universe” is stupid. I am
a subset of the universe, though that does not necessarily
imply that my consciousness is a subset of the consciousness
of the universe, which itself is a subset of the universe. And
I believe that the universe was conscious long before the
    human species was around.

Saying that “I am one with the universe” can be related to
the belief by some Wiccans that their Goddess and
Horned God are female and male aspects of The All
and other gods and goddesses are aspects of the
Goddess and Horned God. Though I am a neopagan,
I don’t subscribe to that view, but believe that many
gods and goddesses once lived as humans and
are not merely facets of The All. Also I don’t believe
that a subset of The All counts as an aspect of The All.

Also you posted to alt.religion.pantheism, which is not in
my newsgroups list, instead of talk.religion.pantheism, which is.

I just downloaded a new list of groups from Eternal September
and it does include free.metaphysics, but not alt.metaphysics, talk.philosophy.metaphysics, or alt.religion.pantheism.

Also alt.buddha.short.fat.guy has a lot more traffic than
    alt.religion.buddhism .

I think femininity has to be in there somewhere.

Here are some of my present thinking in terms of Vedanta ...

    panentheism - Dvaita?
    pantheism - Adviata?

the meaning of the brush strokes of the symbol Om could be applied
    both ways?
