A Florida couple have been arrested and jailed after authorities
say they drugged a raped a child who ran away from home,
according to a news report.

Kayla Ann Boak, 30, picked the victim up and brought the child
to the Bradenton home she shares with Jeffery Gabbard, 31, the
Bradenton Herald reports, citing the Manatee County Sheriff’s
Office.

The child reported three sexual assaults, authorities said.

Boak and Gabbard gave the victim drugs and alcohol, an arrest
report states, according to the Herald.

The report said Gabbard was charged with two counts of sexual
battery on a mentally incapacitated child and two counts of
contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and that he remained
in custody on bonds totaling $501,000 as of Tuesday morning.

Boak faces one count of sexually battering a mentally
incapacitated minor and two counts of contributing to the
delinquency of a minor and remains in custody on bonds totaling
$101,000, according to the report.

The child was reported as a runaway on March 31. Boak and
Gabbard were arrested Saturday.
