Joe does what he is told by his staffers.

This is only "pothole" signalling his MAGAtude. MAGAs are afraid that if they don't say shit like that at every opportunity, they'll fall under suspicion and be kicked out of the club, or maybe even be beaten up or killed by the MAGA thought police.

At least Biden listens to his staffers.

Because he doesn't appoint fuckwits to staff positions.

It never ceases to amaze me how many MAGAs here make excuses for the staggering incompetence of Trump's appointees by saying that Trump is a "poor judge of character." That smarmy little shitbag "pothole" has said that half a dozen times — I checked the archive. First of all, a person has to have good character
himself to have any hope of being a good judge of character, and we know that Trump's character is complete *shit* — he has none. That means Trump doesn't *care* about the character of his appointees; /contra/ Michael Josephson, character does *not* count in Trump's mind. Trump doesn't care about character, and he also doesn't care about competence. All Trump cares about is personal loyalty to him, and he isn't even a very good long-term judge of *that*. He obviously is sufficiently convinced of their loyalty when he appoints them, and no one has ever been openly disloyal.

But then Trump pushes them to do something overtly illegal or unconstitutional or unethical, and — unlike Trump, having /some/ degree of good character — they
balk at that, so Trump fires them for "disloyalty." *Every* high-profile appointee whom Trump fired was fired for that reason, and that reason alone. Trump's top-level election integrity czar, Chris Krebs, is the best example of that. Trump demanded that Krebs say the election was "stolen" when Krebs saw that it plainly was *not* stolen, and when Krebs refused, Trump fired him.

So fuckwits like smarmy little shitbag "pothole" acknowledge that Trump is incapable — *incompetent* — to appoint people who have the competence and "loyalty" to carry out his agenda, yet they want Trump to be president again. Appointing competent people to execute his agenda is *the* most important thing a president does, and Trump blows at it, but smarmy little shitbag "pothole" wants Trump back in office.

Here's the problem: Trump doesn't *have* a policy and governance agenda. Trump's
only agenda is himself. He wants appointees to do whatever Trump wants done *for
him*, at any given moment, and that can change daily. This is one of the reasons, perhaps the biggest reason, that historians and pundits rate him the worst president ever. And they are right.

TRump issues orders without consulting anyone.
Remember his order to withdraw all troops from
Afghanistan by Christmas, which the Pentagon
put the brakes on? Remember his order to pull
all troops out of Syria without even consulting
the State Dept? Remember his order to fire all
