Ex-DEA agent: Opioid crisis fueled by drug industry and Congress

Whistleblower Joe Rannazzisi says drug distributors pumped opioids into
U.S. communities--knowing that people were dying--and says industry
lobbyists and Congress derailed the DEA's efforts to stop it

2017 Oct 15 CORRESPONDENT Bill Whitaker

The "opioid crisis" was the creation of Obama's FDA.
Unhappy that too many people were having a good
time with their prescription pills they moved to make
them a lot harder to get. The result was perfectly
predictable ... instead of turning left to go to the
drug store all these people turned right to go
downtown where the heroin dealers could be found.
The massive new demand sparked all sorts of
weird opiate conconctions - including the addition
    of fentynal.

So, as usual, puritianism created its own problem.
