    Hmmm ... ya know how they now (strongly) discourage docs
    from prescribing those horrible awful opiates - well,
    yesterdays Tulsa Hospital 'massacre' seems to be a direct
    result of this puritanical policy. The shooter had gone
    mad with extreme pain after having back surgery a couple
    of weeks ago. His goal was to kill the doc, but others
    got in his way so ....

    Drug warriors can see no middle way between overuse and pain control.
    I have had dry socket after dental work, broken my right arm twice
    and had opiates on each occasion but simply do not get addicted because
    I only took the medications when I was actually in pain.

    I of course am a special case being a very woke human person who bothers
    to learn about the drugs i take or am given. Same as I learned about
    Linux and some other topics.
