European Union lawmakers temporarily halts the EU membership talks with Turkey because of Ankara's "disproportionate" reaction to July 15 failed coup attempt, for sure at least in my mind, Erdogan orchestrated. There is tons of circumstantial evidence
proving that. Freezing the talks will not help peoples in EU or Turkiye. But necessary. Therefore, Erdogan will have one less thing to brag about. Actually EU has to disclose the evidence it knows who has done the July 15 coup. Erdogan will never
disclose that evidence, nobody else in Turkiye has that direct evidence, besides may be the military itself, knows who has done it.

European Parliament approves motion to temporarily freze acccession talks with Turkey

    BRUSSELS

European Union lawmakers called on Nov. 24 for a temporary halt to EU membership talks with Turkey because of Ankara's "disproportionate" reaction to July 15 failed coup attempt, although EU governments are unlikely to take heed.

Members of the European Parliament voted solidly in favor of a non-binding motion urging the European Commission and national governments to freeze ongoing negotiations.

Some 479 of the votes were in favor while 37 were against it with 107 abstentions.
