EDGECOMBE COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - Three suspected cocaine dealers
are off the streets Friday morning.
Edgecombe County sheriff's deputies arrested Darius Foreman, 30,
of Tarboro, Shanajia Gray, 22, of Rocky Mount and Devonte Baker,
26, of Rocky Mount on Wednesday.
An investigation conducted by the sheriff's office and the SBI
found that Foreman was supplying cocaine to people throughout
the county, according to Edgecombe County Sheriff Clee Atkinson.
Authorities pulled him over on U.S. 64 Bypass near Kingsboro
Road Wednesday. While searching his car, they say they found
nearly $8,000 worth of crack cocaine inside.
Gray and Baker were also inside the car at the time. All three
were taken into custody on a number of drug trafficking charges.
Online records indicate that all three have posted bond.
