• No one is *really* a utilitarian when it comes to "veganism"

Very good piece here about Sam Harris, the pop public intellectual, who
keeps yammering in podcasts and elsewhere about how he really "ought" to
be a "vegan" because of his utilitarian unease over CAFOs, but who
always reveals that he harbors some absolutist belief in the intrinsic wrongness of meat consumption.

This is another contribution from Rhys Southan, the ex-"vegan" who
operates the excellent "Let Them Eat Meat" blog -
http://letthemeatmeat.com/ "vegans" - whiny bastards one and all -
always wrongly call Southan an "anti-vegan." He is nothing of the kind.
He is not opposed to "vegans" for exercising their choice of what to
eat. He is opposed to the bankrupt "vegan" belief system, and he does a
good job of elaborating on its huge defects.
