This is the eighth strike by the U.S. against Houthi targets
in Yemen, but the second joint operation with the U.K.
. . .
Gotta have some tat for tit ... but I'm not sure this
really DOES much to diminish Houthi capabilities, it
is more for looks. Iran will rapidly replenish anything
the Houthi have lost.
Over the weekend a Houthi missile (clearly visible in a
still frame a fraction of a sec before impact) struck a
large commercial freighter near the bow. While damages
did not seem critical, it's STILL being hit by a missile
and will further discourage commercial traffic through Suez.
Clearly these are not just "ballistic" missiles Iran has
been supplying. The chances of hitting a ship well out
at sea with a giant bottle-rocket is about zero. These
things have good guidance systems.
