• Hanging and Brain Damage

Old topic, I know! However, my suicidal desires have returned, and I'm looking for the encouragement to get on with it and hang myself, especially since a close friend did hang himself sometime early on New Year's Eve! He was 64-years-old and even
managed to cause his neck to snap! Too, it was his seventh suicide attempt in nine years, and second within the last six months!

Anyway, if you tried to hang yourself and didn't lose consciousness, you weren't hanged for even 10-seconds! Strangulation, the usual cause of death with suicide by hanging, will render you unconscious within that 10-second time frame. Cutting off
blood circulation to the brain doesn't begin to kill brain cells until after 4-t0-5-minutes! You weren't hanged anywhere near long enough!

I have to agree with Vicky! It was more likely your state of mind!
