(Disclaimer I have recently set one of their monitors up outdoors of my North London flat to monitor post-lockdown traffic on my road, and reinforce the case for an LTN).

It's still early days and they are just building up the network. In return for running one, they send you some tokens which will be redeemable for money in the future.

This runs off the Algorand Blockchain, which is a carbon-neutral blockchain.
